Leeds Legal ‘take’ city lawyers ‘away’ to build a business links with Hong Kong and China

Representatives from Leeds Legal have returned from a successful delegation visit to Hong Kong and China, further developing working relationships with the Far East.

The five day visit to Hong Kong and Guangzhou in China allowed Leeds Legal – the only city-based legal marketing campaign in the country – to build on the success of previous delegation visits to both countries, and continue to develop business links with key legal professionals.

This was the organisation’s third visit to Hong Kong and second to China within the last three years, highlighting the campaign’s commitment to building strategic relationships with individuals and organisations within the two countries.

Working with UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) - the government organisation supporting domestic companies doing business internationally and overseas firms wanting to invest the UK – Leeds Legal arranged a series of meetings for delegates, including with the Law Society of Hong Kong, the Guangzhou Lawyers Association, inward investment organisation - Invest Hong Kong and a range of leading law firms based in Hong Kong and Guangzhou.

Led by Deborah Green, director of Leeds Legal and President of the Leeds Law Society, the delegation visit allowed lawyers from the Leeds City Region, the opportunity to build on contacts previously made and further strengthen relationships.

On her return from the visit, Deborah Green, said: “The strategic position of Hong Kong remains important as a gateway for business to and from China. We are committed to developing these opportunities for lawyers and businesses across the city region, hence our return visits over these last three years.

“In both Hong Kong and Guangzhou we met with high profile organisations and firms, who were very enthusiastic about developing business opportunities and impressed by the proactive approach that Leeds Legal continues to take.”
