Research

Keeping the legal profession in Leeds at the top of the news agenda, Leeds Legal conducts and publishes research projects throughout the year.

Broadly, the research activity is divided into two sections:
  • Academic research
  • Leeds Legal UK Jury
Academic Research

Leeds Metropolitan University, one of the campaign’s sponsors, conducts annual, in-depth, legal research, on behalf of Leeds Legal.  Topics researched and published by Professor Roger Henderson, at Leeds Met include, ‘Leeds’ legal market place’ and ‘Project management and infrastructure expertise among Leeds law firms’.

Leeds Legal UK Jury

Quarterly general public opinion polls are commissioned, as part of the Leeds Legal UK Jury series.  These regular surveys are designed to gauge pubic opinion on a wide-range of topical legal issues, from dangerous dogs, to the governments’ plans for a greener environmental policies, to the Mills vs McCartney divorce and the controversial immigration points scheme.  The online surveys are carried out with 2,000 people across the UK, so results can be broken down by gender, age group and UK region, giving plenty of opportunities for news coverage.
